INTRODUCTION:

Malaria is protozoan disease transmitted by the bite of female Anopheles mosquitoes. It is the most important of the parasitic disease of human beings affecting approximately 200 million and causes over one million deaths each year around the globe. (W.H.O., 2006). Malaria has been a problem in India for centuries. Details of this disease can be found even in the ancient Indian medical literature like Charaka Sahinta. Bastar geographic position and climatic conditions had been for long favorable to the transmission of Malaria i.e. season, temperature, humidity and rainfall.

CONCLUSION:

Malaria is mainly due to dense forest and other favourable environmental conditions for the Malaria parasite to develop and affect the tribals. So, we can say that awareness is the main factor for adjusting prevalence rate in any population and they are inversely proportional.

SUGGESTION:

The study shows for successful control of Malaria in tribal areas, preventive measures against Malaria should be carried out in such a way that should be need base suitable for the area concern and there should be increased interactions of health workers with the villagers. More attention to the Malaria problem is needed. Hence the planers should take into consideration the life style beliefs, culture, social organization and the channels of communication of the tribal people before introducing development activity.
